The best sauce this side of Italy!

Turn your kitchen into an Italian eatery. An easy, delicious way to cook the best spaghetti sauce you've ever tasted!

Ingredients:

4 jars (26 ounce each) of quality pasta sauce

1 extra empty glass 26 ounce jar (to help store the finished product)

3 five inch links of Italian Sausage

Red Cooking Wine - 1/4 cup

Olive Oil - 1/2 cup

Pesto - 4 teaspoonfuls

Minced garlic - 6 tablespoonfuls

Sweet Leaf Basil - 2 teaspoonfuls

Instructions:

1. Take off the skin from the sausage and break the meat up into small 1/2 inch pieces and place into a skillet. Cover, lightly brown and slowly cook the sausage all the way through while stirring frequently to prevent any burning of the meat.

2. Into a fairly good size pot, pour the contents of 4 jars of the pasta sauce. This will be your "base".

3. Add the cooked, brown sausage AND all of it's oil. The oil will add flavor to your sauce like you won't believe.

4. Add the wine, oil, pesto, garlic and basil.

5. Begin with a gentle heat, careful not to burn the sauce and slowly stir for 1-2 minutes. Continue to stir while gradually moderating the temperature out to a low heat.

6. Cover the pot while cooking over the low heat, stirring occasionally and keeping the pot covered. Covering the pot will keep all the flavors from evaporating from the heat. It will also minimize any splashover onto your range.

7. Cook for 3 hours. During which, come back every 20 - 30 minutes or so and gently stir the sauce.

8. Store the finished sauce in all 5 jars.

9. Let the jars cool and store in the refrigerator. Refrigerated the sauce will be good for 2-3 weeks.

Enjoy
